The number of sessions varies enormously and depends on what issues you bring. We will discuss this as part of our work together in the first session. There are no set minimum or maximum number of sessions.

How do I know you're properly qualified?

You can see my Register status on the BACP Register website which demonstrates that my credentials and fitness to practice have been checked and approved by an independent professional body. You can check my qualifications, training and experience.

Do you prescribe medication?

I don't prescribe medication. Your GP can offer support in case you need medication.

How do I know when to end counselling?

Ending is an important part of the therapy where you can explore your feelings and what ending brings for you. It’s a good opportunity to say good bye and learn how to have a proper ending so I recommend you speak about it with your counsellor but ultimately it is your choice and you can end counselling at any time.
